Descriptors

My colleagues* & I are assembling lists of words that have been used by various musicians / musicologists for describing sounds, sound categories, and processing applied to sounds.  Many of these should be applicable to the description of musical textures and / or musical gestures.   

 

The recently-developed and constantly-expanding EARS site has many of these terms.
